We know that our old life, our old sinful self, was nailed to the cross with Christ. And so the power of sin that held us was destroyed. Sin is no longer our boss. When a man is dead, he is free from the power of sin\u00a0(Romans 6:6-7<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus came to this world with the sole mission to destroy the works of Satan. He has transfered that mission to the church to reenforce it.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Note:<\/strong> The destruction of the power of Satan to hold people captive in sin has already been decreed and accomplished by Christ Jesus Himself through His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to heaven.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since Jesus is the One who sent the Holy Spirit; therefore, He’s the One specifically commissioning Him to apply that sacrifice in the lives of those who believe in Him. Jesus is the One enforcing the saving power of His sacrifice through the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

That power is always predicated on destroying the works of Satan in sinners’ lives first.\u00a0That power can only be manifested through the preaching of the gospel. <\/span><\/p>\n

People can only experience the saving power of His death on a personal level by believing on Him. The preaching of the gospel is all about the Holy Spirit Himself working through the (Word = Jesus) on the basis of Christ’s atonement.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s all about the Spirit of God manifesting whom Christ Jesus truly is when it concerns people’s eternity.<\/span><\/p>\n

For I am\u00a0not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek (Romans 1:6)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

But when He, the Spirit of truth,\u00a0comes, He will guide you into all the truth.\u00a0He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears from Me, and He will tell you what is yet to come.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He will glorify Me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0All that belongs to the Father is Mine.\u00a0That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to you (John 16:13-15)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Believers have the power to banish demons through the preaching of the gospel. The powers of darkness are highly opposed to the preaching of the gospel because in the course of this, the Holy Spirit power operates in the highest rate of consciousness (of His enemy) in order to discomfort demons and their human agents.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

First, the Holy Spirit empowers people to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In doing so, His ultimate Jesus-given purpose or mission is to glorify Him by revealing Him to sinners as Savior and Lord who has been given all authority and power in heaven and on earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second, He carries out His mighty works through the Word as the gospel is being preached to unleash the destructive aspect of the saving power of the gospel against the kingdom of Satan to set the captives free.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through the preaching of the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God is taking the Word of God that Jesus Christ is the very embodiment of in whom all the essential provisions sinners need to get saved dwelt in order to convict them of their sins.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Father has made All things available through the Son. Therefore, the Holy Spirit’s responsibility is to draw upon the very provisions found through the Son to apply them to sinners.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everything the Father is fully dwells in the Son. Everything the Father has belongs to the Son. The Holy Spirit’s purpose is to enforce everything the Son is in accordance with whom the Father is in Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the gospel of truth is being proclaimed, the saving power of God is at work. Demons controlling people’s lives are being threatened.<\/span><\/p>\n

Important point:<\/strong> So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main mission of the coming of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus by revealing Him to the world through the preaching of the gospel.<\/span><\/p>\n

He’s fulfilling a mission He is entrusted with by the Son of God. He doesn’t come to draw any attention at all to Himself but to the One who sent Him.<\/span><\/p>\n
