{"id":18329,"date":"2024-11-24T19:02:05","date_gmt":"2024-11-24T19:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ministry-strategies.org\/testimony\/?p=18329"},"modified":"2024-11-24T19:41:29","modified_gmt":"2024-11-24T19:41:29","slug":"worship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ministry-strategies.org\/testimony\/worship\/","title":{"rendered":"Worship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yahweh Rapha, the LORD who heals, You Are the LORD God Almighty who is holy, holy, holy who was, and is, and is to come, and is always to be forever and ever. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yahweh Rapha, the supreme Healer, You Are the LORD of hosts who is holy, holy, holy whom the whole earth is full of Your glory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Yahweh Rapha, the great Lord who heals, You Are the Almighty God who is righteous, righteous, and righteous.<\/p>\n<p>You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.<\/p>\n<p>The Lamb of God, You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood You ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!&#8221; \u201cTo Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessings and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Amen!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Messiah, and He will reign for ever and ever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We give thanks to You, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear You, Lord, and bring glory to Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>LORD God, may Your holy name be blessed, glorified, praised, worshiped, exalted, honored, magnified, venerated, sanctified, and revered.<\/p>\n<p>May blessings, praise, wealth, glory, wisdom, greatness, dominion, thanks, honor, power, reverence, exaltation, might, majesty, and strength be to Our Father God who sits on the throne forever and ever and to Christ Jesus whom the Father withholds nothing. To Him be glory and dominion forever and ever and to the Lamb. Amen.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Glorify God<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To \u201cglorify\u201d God means to give glory to Him. The word <i>glory<\/i> as related to God in the Old Testament bears with it the idea of greatness of splendor. In the New Testament, the word translated \u201cglory\u201d means &#8220;dignity, honor, praise and worship.&#8221; Putting the two together, we find that glorifying God means to acknowledge His greatness and give Him honor by praising and worshiping Him, primarily because He, and He alone, deserves to be praised, honored and worshipped. God\u2019s glory is the essence of His nature, and we give glory to Him by recognizing that essence (the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The glory of God is the beauty of His spirit. Again, the beauty of His Spirit (or the essence of Who He Is) is His \u201cglory.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength, ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness (1 Chronicles 16:28-29)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">First, we \u201cascribe\u201d or give glory to Him because it is His due.\u00a0Second, we are to \u201cbring an offering\u201d to God as part of the worship that glorifies Him. What is the offering we bring to God to glorify Him?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God&#8217;s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God&#8211;this is your true and proper worship (Romans 12:1).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The offering we bring to God as we come before Him in the splendor or beauty of His holiness involves <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">agreement, obedience, submission, and rehearsing His attributes or extolling Him<\/span>. Glorifying God begins with agreeing with everything He says, especially about Himself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God declares, \u201cI am the Lord God. I created the heavens like an open tent above. I made the earth and everything that grows on it. I am the source of life for all who live on this earth, so listen to what I say (Isaiah 42:5).\u201d Because of who He is, holy and perfect and true, His proclamations and statutes are holy and perfect and true (Psalm 19:7), and we glorify Him by listening to and agreeing with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God\u2019s Word, the Bible, is His Word to us, all that we need for life in Him. Listening to and agreeing with Him, though, will not glorify Him unless we also submit to Him and obey the commands contained in His Word. \u201cBut from everlasting to everlasting the LORD&#8217;s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children&#8217;s children\u2014with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts\u201d (Psalm 103:17-18). Jesus reiterated the idea that glorifying and loving God are one and the same in (John 14:15): \u201cIf you love Me, you will obey what I command.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We also glorify God by rehearsing His attributes and His deeds.\u00a0When we tell of God\u2019s work in our lives, how He saved us from sin, and the marvelous works He does in our hearts and minds every day, we glorify Him before others. Even though others don\u2019t always want to hear our glorifying God, He is more than pleased by it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To glorify God is to extol (praise enthusiastically) His attributes\u2014His holiness, faithfulness, patience, mercy, grace, love, majesty, sovereignty, power, and omniscience, omnipresence, and compassion\u2014rehearsing them over and over in our minds and telling others about the singular nature of the salvation only He offers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The glory of God is the beauty of His spirit. (Isaiah 43:7) says that God created us for His glory.\u00a0You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor (Psalm 8:5).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We will be taken to the place where God\u2019s beauty literally resides\u2014the beauty of His Spirit will be there, because He will be there. Again, the beauty of His Spirit (or the essence of Who He Is) is His \u201cglory.\u201d\u00a0The glory of God is the beauty of His spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Everyone who is called by my name,\u00a0whom I created for my glory,\u00a0whom I formed and made (Isaiah 43:7).\u00a0As (Psalm 19:1-4) says, \u201cThe heavens are telling of the glory of God and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands; day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In (Isaiah 42:8), we see an example of God\u2019s jealousy over His glory. This jealousy for His own glory is what Paul is talking about in (Romans 1:21-25) when he speaks of the ways people worship the creature rather than the Creator. In other words, they looked at the object through which God\u2019s glory was coming, and, instead of giving God the credit for it, they worshiped that animal or tree or man as if the beauty it possessed originated from within itself. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Worship<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In order to worship God in the right spirit, we must take time before worship to make ready our hearts and emotions so we will be in the proper frame of mind or proper state of mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our worship must show our adoration and loyalty to God for His grace in providing us with the way to escape the bondage of sin, so we can have the salvation He so much wants to give us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The nature of the worship God demands is the prostration of our souls before Him in humble and contrite submission. A contrite heart, a broken heart, a humble heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our worship to God is a very humble and reverent action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Worshiping\u00a0God in spirit means that it must be done from the heart.\u00a0Worshiping\u00a0God in truth means that it must be done according as God has\u00a0specified in the Bible. Spirit is an attitude, mood, or disposition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Worship should cause us to reflect on the majesty and graciousness of God and Christ, contrasted to our own unworthiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When we worship God, we tend to value what God values and gradually take on the characteristics and qualities of God, but never to His level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When we worship God we develop such traits as forgiveness, tenderness, justice, righteousness, purity, kindness, self-control, and love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Worshiping\u00a0God &#8220;in spirit&#8221; means with reverence, attentiveness, and having the right purpose of honoring God, while understanding what we are doing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In order to worship God in the right spirit, we must take time before worship to make ready our hearts and emotions so we will be in the proper frame of mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He is our creator and He holds our eternal destiny in His hands. We must strive to please Him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We should not have to rush or hurry to worship, arriving late but should always plan to be there early enough so we can be in a worshipful attitude and spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We must control our thoughts during periods of worship and not let them wander to other things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In fact, we should be of the frame of mind that we are disappointed to see the worship service end.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In showing reverence and respect to God, we will not be indifferent, inattentive, and taking lightly that which should be considered serious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Slouching over, sleeping, playing with babies, squirming, unnecessary talking, and passing notes all show disrespect in worshipping God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Worship which is insincere, that is not from the heart, is vain, useless, and unacceptable to God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Active participation will tend to get rid of our lack of interest and inattentiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reverence is not having a long face, folded hands, or a put on look of piety.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yahweh Rapha, the LORD who heals, You Are the LORD God Almighty who is holy, holy, holy who was, and is, and is to come, and is always to be forever and ever.
